Reheating Instructions:

Steaming: Recreates the original cooking environment, preventing the tamales from drying out.

On the Stove: Place tamales standing upright (open ends up) in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam on medium heat for 35–45 minutes.

Microwave: If you only need to heat 1 or 2 tamales, the microwave is the most convenient method.

Prep: Wrap the frozen tamales loosely in a damp paper towel. The moisture from the towel is essential to prevent the corn flour from getting rubbery.

Cook: Place on a microwave-safe plate and heat in 30- to 60-second intervals until completely hot all the way through. Let them rest for 1 minute before unwrapping.

Oven: Reheating in the oven works well if you are warming a large batch at once.

Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Pour about a cup of water into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to create steam.

Cook: Arrange the tamales in a single layer and cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 40–50 minutes.
